Rhythm of Hope
- Rhythm of Hope is a workforce-development and creative exposure program that introduces disadvantaged individuals to behind-the-scenes careers in art and theater—roles that are essential, in-demand, and often overlooked. Participants will gain hands-on experience in technical theater, visual arts production, stage operations, and arts administration, building real-world skills that can lead to employment, apprenticeships, or continued education in the creative economy.
Success Project
- We piloted this program at Person County High School in the 2nd semester of the 2018-2019 school year. We had an average of ten young men participate. They ranged from second semester freshmen to graduating seniors. The participants had to be young men with academic performance at or below the fifty percent (50%) mark in their class. The purpose of this project is to parallel education and employability. The project will be teaching soft skills necessary to gain access to employment. These young men will be entering the workforce arena and will need character witnesses to help them along their journey. No one person succeeds on their own merits. It takes faith, perseverance, dedication, and the desire to want to succeed to make the transition to your success.
